The LoveFresh App will change your life and the lives of those around you. All you have to do is embrace the passion obviously evident in it’s creators and use it. A bold statement I know, but I rarely get excited about something this much. It’s just good all the way to it’s core. [Pun intended]
Disclaimer: I know @MarkSpoff (only met him twice) who made this but have no financial interest in his business. More than anything I just love it when someone I am proud to call a friend follows through with an idea they believe in and comes out with an something as amazing as this.
Put simply, this location based service enables you to find fresh locally produced food in your area. You find it, you buy it, you eat it, you get healthy (if you don’t eat too much) and at the same time, you are helping a local business who is serving the local community quality local produce. And the circle of ethical consumerism continues. You get to do good, eat good, feel good and play with tech. It’s a no-brainer!
It’s early days in the use of this app for me though. So far though, I’ve logged some local food producers and a beer maker. It’s so easy to use and a pleasure to help others find the good stuff I enjoy to eat and drink.
Warning: This app has side effects: By just using it to log local food & drink suppliers, I’ve got to connect and make friends in my local community. I have also found myself discovering so much decent local produce my eating habits are changing. I’m certainly getting fitter as I swap quantity for quality. I’m also much more mindful of the quality of food i’m eating. It’s a big WIN all the way.
If you are going to download one app this month.. Make it this one. It’s a free app and you can download it here.. Lovefresh app on iTunes
Oh.. and if you really want to help the community grow and local food producers get the recognition they deserve.. please make sure you rate the Lovefresh app on iTunes The more ratings it gets the more chance it will get seen.
Yay! Awesome idea, about time!
Was really excited about this app but there wasn’t any mention of it being an iPhone only app. Any chance of this being available on Android?
We’re working on an HTML5 web app for use on Android and other mobile platforms, it doesn’t have check-ins yet but it’s coming soon. check it out at http://app.lovefre.sh
Really appreciate your support bud. Great of you to spread the Lovefre.sh word like this. By the way, check-ins are now live on our HTML5 app and we’ve had our first Android check in. We’ll be adding features all the time so keep the feedback coming. All the best, Mark
Yup.. Lovefresh really is on the front of the App store.. Makes me very happy indeed.
