I found these items in one of the vacant houses I was viewing today. They belong to a Flight Lieutenant J.E.V Davies. The logbook shows an amazing flying career starting during WWII flying Lancasters.I had no idea why such an interesting and important document would be left behind. I wanted to put it in my pocket, to explore and share later, but it wasn’t mine to take.

That’s very sad ;( I hope they find there way to a family member who will cherish them. I have my fathers logbook etc from the war
You definitely should have asked more, though if the owner wasn’t there I doubt the estate agent would know. Strange to leave such things out on the windowsill! I have my nanna’s ration book and WWII ID card. Curiously, Davies is my birth name and my dad’s family are partly from that area 🙂
