Twitter are rolling out new features quite regularly now. I know it is mostly playing catch-up to all the different twitter apps out there forging ahead with innovations and ideas.. Still, I like the direction so far and they seem to be keeping my on the homepage.
There is still so much to do though. I just hope it’s not in preparation for some big sell off. Here’s a retweet I just posted and how some see it..
I personally thinking that its not very good – not being able to comment on retweet kinda cripples it for me. Plus I don’t see a way to search for RTs easily. PS. “I hope TIT’S not it preparation” lol
Hi, the tit was not meant to be a cunning bird reference so i corrected it.. 🙂 Not sure what you mean by you not being able to comment on a retweet..
The feature definitely looses much of what is good about RTs – I like the value people add around the RT. RT with no value add = sheep breeding. No good!
Hi Ben, I think this saves space and the ‘value’ is there.. the name is at the bottom of the tweet. I like the fact it will stop the endless names on one retweet.
Oh.. i see what you mean now.. as in the brackets at the end.. you can still do that.. just cut and paste as ever.. 🙂
Yes – would have been nice to have that space to explain why you retweeted this, e.g. this is great for bloggers:… or the witty words people put around things – you wouldn’t be able to have this fun 🙂 – http://twitter.com/BenjaminEllis/status/5600507603 – apple+c apple+v it is then 😉 – shame as it DOES stop the fake retweeting 🙂
That’s not a Retweet as such though.. 🙂 that is a quote.. If you use Tweetie2 you can quote a tweet.. maybe we will have a quote button on twitter. ;o)
