[On an Train to London 8:55am]
What is Vodafone 360? Well for me it may just be the rekindling of an old Love affair. I have had a vodafone sim for as long as i can remember. Well OK.. I guess it’s about 17 years. I have two iPhones one running O2 (Patroned by @SleepyDog) and one running Vodafone. I still can’t let go of my trusty Nokia N95 though. If i take my Vodafone sim out of an iPhone and pop it in the N95 my reception doubles in quality. I am falling out of love with the iPhone.. Great social media app tool but crap as a phone. I keep using the iPhone mainly because of a few apps.. Audioboo Especially.. Which to be honest, will run happily on an iPod Touch with a MiFi. And what with Audioboo appearing on Android in the not too distant future I feel less chained to the iPhone than ever before. (Maybe this is because my brand new Mac Book Pro lies broken and lifeless on my office floor.) I Love OSX.. I Love Apple Macs.. Does not mean i have to like Apple. With todays news from Vodafone and it’s 360 initiative I am feeling more than ever that it is time to switch back, making my main phone (the Vodafone) a Nokia or such like once again. Apple may well be finally faced with a challenger to their app store. I will know more later when I get to talk with developers eager to get start coding like lunatics in an attempt to fill the Vodafone Store with all the application goodness Social Media types like myself can’t seem to live without.
